Has anyone used it? I have an 87 Four Winns, I wet sanded it, used the 3M "set" with a porter cable buffer (compound first, polishing second, wax last) and it brought most the color back, and it's not absolutely horrible, but the red is fading quickly again... I just threw a coat of Nufinish on it, since it's deemed gelcoat safe and it brought back some of the color. The boat dealer wants something around 4K to paint the 21 ft boat. Ridiculous. I'm struck curious about the presto product.

If you haven't seen the presto product, just do a search on ebay. It's supposed to be an incredible product....aren't they all though? Yes, I already read the thread about oxidation removal...

I can testify that this stuff is the real deal. Made my '89 Hydra Sports 2000 DC look brand new. Amazing stuff!!

Re: Presto Gelcoat Rejuvenator

Any reasonable buffing compound on a hull that it's chalky is going to make it look much much better. Wet sand, then buff, then wax.

You don't have to get the gelcoat-specific/marine-specific stuff. It's just more expensive, not more effective.
