For those impossible to find deck drains use a thru hull fitting shaved down to fit. Most will simply screw into the OEM threaded fitting.
If you cut off the hose area. The Wellcraft 28 coastal uses these for deck drains and fish box drains. Chucked in a lathe to skin it and reduce the diameter and your good to go.

I think iboat does sell through the hull fittings. But anyways, I would trust that for a live well drain, but not for a transom through hull drain. It is basically plastic and therefore can break off with something hitting it. If it was well above the water line...maybe. But certainty not below water line in my opinion. It has to be metal fitting for that ability. Brass, stainless steel would work for me below the water line... JMHO!

standard thru hulls are rounded and will not work unless modified like these and like the post says, for the Wellcraft Coastal there perfect

Yeah, iboats sells them:

... and there are plenty of nylon thru hull fittings for below the water line, just try to find a livewell pump that doesn't have a nylon thru hull fitting. There are even nylon transom/bilge drains, and they're below the water line for sure:

those have too large of a head to fit correctly. The drains used by Wellcraft are very thin so the deck plate sits flush. Plus I would NEVER use plastic anywhere near the water line.or below the water line. The ones I have modified and installed were for the deck drain under the fish box lids and the deck drain for the rear bilge pump hatch. All you need it the correct size for your application, a friendly machinist with a lathe.
