I will be adding a depth sounder with transom mounted transducer to my boat. There are already some old holes that have been sealed, possibly with 5200 but not sure, can that stuff be drilled or will it act kinda rubbery like silicone?
Can I put the electric wire thru the hole with speedo pitot line? if i enlarge it enough? If I do drill either the old sealant or a new hole do I drill horizontally or with a slight downward angle?
Thanks

Make sure you use a sharp bit and most not sure what unit you have but most take a 5/8 hole just drill straight thru and you will be good to go. If you can go thru a hole that is already there the better less holes in a boat  is better.... Plus make sure and put a clam shell over the hole and transducer wire coming out....

5200 cures much stiffer then silicon, I have not tried to drill it, but I doubt it will be much different then drilling silicone as it remains somewhat flexible.
