My guess is that they will charge you by the hour. You know you have a problem, and can't figure it out, so don't expect a mechanic to jump in and be able to see immediatly what the problem is, it may happen if obvious. Just be sure to tell them all that happened so they don't have to go through everything that you have already done.

Ayuh,... Are the front adjusting nuts free to turn,..?? No Rust,..??
If the rear mounts are "In Spec",...
It should take but maybe 1/2hr,...
The Outdrive is Not necessary...
You're aligning the transom housing/ gimbel bearing to the Motor/ coupler....

Edit;... I see you know more about this hull than I do Don,....
My post is just for Aligning a new Installation type of application...

Re: prices from mechanic

the rear hardware is all new, bolts, washer, spacer, double lockwasher, and leather washer, as well as the flywheelcover and bushings, and yess the front mounts are free to turn. the thing that is erking my brain is we had it right when we put all that in 2 months ago, ad never ran the boat, pulled the motor and put back in and now have alignment problem. i cant get it right so i will just take to dealership, i want it done right and i am out of ideas. it is sitting to high in rear.

The problem is, he had it insalled before with the same mounts and hardware and it all worked ok.............................. Unless he just put in new double lockwashers that wasn't there the last time.

See his other post on this subject.

Going to close this thread, as no one can tell him what the price will be, that's impossible.
If you want to add what could be a problem, reply to the other post on the subject that contains all the details.
