I just had a gas tank draining and cleaning, blew out the gas line and put 12 gallons of new fuel in.The motor is a 2001 150 johnson ocean pro.The primer bulb seems to be fine, however I cant seem to grab a prime from the built in tank.Any advice would be appreciated. thankyou Andy

I would check connections between the tank and bulb for air leaks. Make sure your pick up line in the tank is connected and at the bottom of the tank. If none are found then replace your bulb. Best of luck. Rick.

A lot of the primer bulbs work OK when they have fuel to pump. They are lousy at pumping air. Use a plier to crimp the fuel line in front of the bulb, after you squeeze the bulb. It will help it pump air.

Hold the bulb vertical also with the arrow point to the sky. Is the fuel pump not priming or is it not even getting to the engine?
