Hey guys, I noticed something odd from my motor today. When I left it in neutral my motor stalled, and when it went over everything I noticed my primer bulb was soft. My gas gauge doesnt work, that or my float switch is bad(which will be checked when I take it in next week) but I just filled it up the other day, and I over filled it where the gas came out the overfill. Anyway, I am taking it in next week to get my 100 hour service done, and have him put my new transducer in. And, if its something I can do, then I rather do it so I dont get charged for it. Is this normal? Or maybe my primer bulb is going bad. Thanks!

Re: primer bulb

was it just soft, or was it sucked closed?

It was softer then when you prime it...basically my carbs werent getting the fuel so it died out on me. But, when I run the boat in gear, I never stall, only when in neutral. The ball gets VERY hard when I have to prime it, so it doesnt make me think I have an air leak or anything.

Its an older 94' Evinrude 175. Great motor, very reliable.

The primer bulb is only hard when you pump it. It doesn't ever stay that way.
