Hello, first off I'd like to say I have gone through copious threads on priming and painting to the point where my head is about to explode haha...
I have an older 22ft aluminum super sport painted white and blue. The paint is holding good in most spots. I have removed loosely bound paint and sanded - I thought that would have been the hard part till I fell into the realm of priming and painting.
There is not much bare aluminum spots but for the bare aluminum I will spray with a Zinc Chromate primer. as for the overall primer (to prime the entire boat) I was thinking of buying rustoleum. I was curious as to if you can buy rustoleum primer in quarts and/or gallons so I can spray it on. Do I need to even prime over the old paint at all???
I was going to paint the boat grey using rustoleum topside boat paint link is

or should I stick to normal oil based rustoleum and add acrylic enamel hardener?
I'm so lost and the more I look at others threads the more nervous I get... any help would be greatly apprecited! Thanks guys!
