I have a stern drive motor and I use one of these to flush the motor:

Problem: The water coming out of the engine flows strongly on the side that the hose is connected too. On the other side the water flow is less, as a result that side the water gets very hot. I have to swap the hose from the left to the right side of the motor.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Do I have the muffs too close to the stern drive?? Should I use a Dual Flow Motor Flusher instead??

Hmm, it's so difficult to explain....I have a Maxum 1900SR with a 5.0l V8 Mercruiser inboard motor.

I attach the Pro-Flushional to the sterndrive, and open the hose. Start the motor and water starts to come out the back. One side flows much stronger than the other side though (the side that the hose connects too on the flusher). When I turn the flusher so that the hose is on the other side of the sterndrive, that side flows more....this causes the side with less water flowing to get hot and I have to swap it repeatedly :(.

The type you show in the first picture is not deisgned for a stern drive with the water pick up on both sides.
