Pro xs stalls at idles/ Sluggish acceleration

I have a 2012 115 pro xs 2stroke. Did a power head rebuild. Only starts under fast idle. Once I bring it back to neutral it shuts off. After a few tries it starts for a brief second without fast idle if I’m quick enough I shift it into gear I open the throttle about half way with very sluggish acceleration for about 2 minutes, then it opens up at 3000-4000 rpm and runs great until I begin to back off the throttle it drops down in power and if I bring it back to neutral it shuts off again.

Is the stator ign low speed winding working? Was the motor linked and synched after rebuild?

This is the first I’m hearing of link and synk, what exactly is it?

Link and synch is where the mechanic sets the idle timing and synchs it to the carb opening. He then sets the max spark advance, throttle stop and throttle cable position. Every Merc service manual for your motor has the procedure.

It sounds like you need a Merc Service Manual.

I have two service manuals, it’s fuel injection, I looked through and couldn’t find any info on link and sync. It does state that the power head timing that is usually set through fly wheel markings and top dead center is automatically , no adjustments needed. I am very grateful for your replies!!

Sounds like IAC what is your serial number ?

Thanks, yours doesn't have a IAC, the PCM controls the idle.

Being a optimax need to check your fuel and air pressure. I'm finding fuel pressure should be 90 psi and air pressure should be 80 psi
