Problem remplacement oil mercury thunderbolt

Hi every one can u help me i have not information how to do a drain for the engine ? I do not find the oil filter and how to mix the fuel ? must mix with a bit of oil and what is the amount per liter? . Also the life of the engine oil . Help please it is old mercury thunderbolt inginition 50 hp

what year motor? that model number? serial number helps

if its 2-stroke without oil injection, you pre-mix the fuel and oil in the tank. ratio would be 50:1

if its a 2-stroke with oil injection, you let the injection pump inject the oil

if its a 4-stroke, there will be a sump that gets drained and filled along with an oil filter

If it is a two stroke, it needs a TCW-3 oil

There is no filter or engine oil sump on that motor.-----I suggest a manual for you to read about the operation of that old motor.-----Change the water pump impeller now before launching the boat.----Change oil in the bottom gearcase too.-----It might be best for a shop to look this motor over for you and give you some useful tips on how to operate it.-----Motors are often ruined by a novice !

Its 4 stroke it work but i cant find the place to change and controle (jauge ) the oil motor iam not expert and in our country we have not un expert for that motor and i have not a manual help me to get manual please

That's a 2 stroke motor. Mix 50 parts fuel with 1 part TC-W3 outboard oil.
There is outboard gear lube in the lower end where the prop is.
Here is a manual that will help a bit.
It's not the right one but it's all I could find.

That is definitely a 2 stroke. 1972 - 1974 model.

4 cylinder
44.4 cubic in
WOT range 4800 - 5300 rpm
2:1 gear ratio

That meant 4 cylinders. Inline 6s had a 6 there

What you are mistaking for a drain plug(upper yellow arrow) is a flushing port older mercs have.
The lower yellow Arrow is pointing to the vent/level for the lower oil. You fill the gear case from the drain/fill screw on the bottling front of the gear case till oil comes out the vent. You then let about an ounce of oil drain out the bottom and reinstall the screws using new gaskets

Ok i understand . I vérifie the lower unit and i see the oil mix with water i change the necessary and when i power on i see problème the moteur
only forward no reverse or weight bites Wha​​​​​​t cant i do ??

If the prop is turning in reverse, it should move the boat astern. If you try to increase speed, the exhaust coming from the prop hub will interfere with the props grip on the water. There is a possibility of the hub being NFG, have you tried a different prop?
