Some time ago I was trying to figure out why my boat wouldn't get past 3500 rpm at WOT. Well yesterday, staring at the engine, trying to see what I should do next, I start going over Don's check list. hmmmm....Then it hits me. I was staring at the flame arrestor, covered in black soot, and I said hmmm wasnt that number four or five on Dons check list?
Sure enough, cleaned it up good with some carb cleaner, put it back on and presto 4500rpm right away! I couldnt believe it.
