Ned more info.

Does the motor run when you try to lift the motor?

What hp and year is your motor?

Re: Problem with hydraulic trim

Sorry, I meant the electric trim motor.

Ok, sounds like you have an electrical problem.

Could be anywhere in the harness, the motor, or the switch.

Unplug the wires leading to the trim motor.
Use a set of jumper cables connected to the battery.
Your motor either has 2 wires (blue and green), or 3 wires (blue green and black).

For a 2 wire motor:
Connect one jumper cable to each wire.
Reverse cables to make the motor reverse.

For 3 wire motor:
Connect the negative jumper cable to the black wire.
Then connect the pos cable to the green wire to lower the engine.
Connect the pos cable to the blue wire to raise the engine.

If the motor is working properly, move on to the switch up by the controls.
Often times the wires get worn or frayed in the control box.
