Problem with mariner 5HP Outboard

I have been having some problems with my auxillary engine, it will run fine for upto 30 mins or longer then for no apparant reason it will lose revs and power just bearly ticking over at full throttle, it seems to clear after couple of minutes and then it is back to full revs and power...any ideas or is it a visit to my local marine mechanic needed for a good service?

I have replaced the spark plug in the last 2 weeks and getting the same problems...

Any help would be great...

Yes it runs from an external tank, i have been running it off the tank from my main engine (mariner 60HP) mixed at 50:1 ratio..

No it will run for 30-40 mins sometimes fine then just suddenly lose power?
