problems running my 89 force

I am hoping for some help. I have been working on this boat since the begin of the season and I getting closer but not just yet. My problem now is that I had her in the water and getting off the trailer it ran fine put it in gear and about 2-3 mins later motor stalled. I started it back up and it ran good in neutral but right before I can get it in gear it stalls. I hope that someone can help me. Thanks alot Dave

Dave,

Have you set up your idle to be 750 in gear in the water or about 1000rpm on muffs? Have you adjusted the mixture screws for best rpm without going too lean?
