I have a 1990 Avalon Walkaround, with an inboard/outboard....it's 22 ft. long and it's on a dual axle trailer...the trailer basically has flat bunks for the boat to rest on and a few black rubber rollers down the center for the boat to move up the trailer....it used to have two black "y" rubber stops at the end of the winch, where the hook from the cable would hook onto the boat and pull the loop that is in the front of the boat, it would then stop between the "y" rubber stops...confused yet? anyhow, I replaced the "y" rubber stops with two semi-gold transperant rollers....I have a 1998 F-150 with about a 5" drop for the hitch....The problem that I'm having is, everytime I try to get the boat out of the water, the whole boat is lower than the rollers...I have to crank like hell to get the rollers past the front of the boat, then past the loop so, the hook, cable , and loop rest between the rollers..Putting the trailer in deeper doen't seem to help..Plus...the handle on the crank is so long it usually hits the rubber guard that protects the edge of the boat...This is extremely frustrating...thanks for any info...
