thanks alpheus, Don the boat was empty and without use for long time I bought this boat without engine, after the engine installation we suck all the old gas from the tank and was nasty, we put around 6 gallons to run the engine after installation, the boat was left with the new gas around 2 months and been cold and warm down here in south florida, but just in case I have a brand new sending unit and gasket I will install it and I will check the o ring in the gas cap I really dont remember the O ring there that is a good tip thanks again for your help.
