problems with fish finder

hi i have a hummingbird piranha max 215 and i am have problems with depth. it willl work fine. the out of nowhere it will say 2 feet deep then jump to 220 ft deep then it will start working again. any ideas?

Ayuh,... Mine'll sometimes do that when debris gets on/ around it...

Check your transducer mounting, level, connections, etc. Check the cable where it plugs into the back of the fishfinder, I spray mine with WD-40, scrub with a toothbrush, blow it off with air, for good connection. Also check your in-line fuse(if applicable) for corrosion.
