I am new to this site and it seems very insightful so far! I just purchased this 1981 Hydra Sport Bass boat for $650. It sat for three years and the seller states that the motor is good just put 1k in it in 07.
My questons are, what should I do before running the motor. I know to have water flowing to it and drain old fuel. Anything else? Also the clear coat is peeling and need to remove old and polish. Any ideas how to remove clear without harming gelcoat?
