Well,
With all the reading I have done on here, I have decided to start on my project. I just moved it into the garage tonight. Here are the initial "B4" pictures.
"Bali" Project

AKChappy

Re: Project has begun!

Ok,
Building the bracket to hold the motor took longer than I thought.
But, I have the motor removed, as well as everything from the boat (steering, throttle cables, etc.)
My suspicions were verified, my transom is also rotten.

Now for the question. I know I will have to remove the "cap" from the boat to get to the transom for rebuild, but should I pull it first, or do the floor, stringers etc before I pull the cap off?
If I remove the cap and the boat springs, will it be impossible or darn near impossible to get the cap back on? Or will it just be a little more work?

AKChappy

Floor is removed. Transom was wet, but not as rotten as I thought. I will still replace it. Why go this far and not do that too. Stringers are also gone.
Flotation was in the form of styrofoam wrapped in black plastic!
Pictures from Day 2 and Day 3 are posted.
Bali Project

AKChappy
