I own a 25' Pacemaker Alglas. Ive heard of these boats being converted to center consoles like the Wahoo that was produced by Pacemaker in the early 70's. Has anyone here ever done this or have any info on it? Im sure theres more to it than jsut taking a chainsaw and removing everything from the rub rail up :D hehe. Just looking for thoughts and ideas at this point.

thanks

Re: Project Pacemaker

I don't know the boat but if your considering making a center console I'd remove the cabin as close to the original deck line as possible leaving the rub rail and washboards as we call them here so that you have your bowcap and washboards pretty much intack, will save hours of building back, it was difficult on my project starting with a bare hull and building up new washboards and bowcap because I didn't really have a lot to fasten to as the fiberglass on my boat was too thin to anchor screws into permanently.

max!

I like the lines of it. It would be a good looking CC with a T-Top on it! Id love to see the final outcome!
