Hi

I am thinking about getting a new prop for my 1999 15hp Johnson 2 stroke.
The engine powers a 3.6m Rib

What pitch of prop should I look at? I want the best top speed possible

Thanks

Stainless prop will give you the best speed. But what rpm are you running max on that motor is 6000 that will determine pitch. Get a tiny tach and tell us what prop you have now and Rpm it runs at. Not an easy answer

I have a Johnson 9.9hp, had it on a buddys RIB 3.2m and it went 30mph with a 11 pitch prop, you probably are going to need the 11 pitch to, but go and get a cheep tach first. And stainless is the best. You dont want to rev that engine anything more than 6000 like Scott said, it could damage the powerhead or gearcase.
