I'd also guess you may have to lower it a bit but never hurts to try. My hull is obviously different but my AV plate is probably about an inch lower than yours. I have a 17P aluminum prop that would break loose easily. The 15 pitch stainless has more cup (not sure if that is what makes the difference) but it rides nicely and wont break loose except on tight cornering.
im running a 19 pitch 13 7/8 wheel viper with cup. you have a pic of your boat? how long is it? aluminum hull?
No picks that show height. That jack plate will be nice. I modified my transom so I can't lower mine any more so I was really happy that the stainless prop got a good bite. I raised it about 1 1/2 inches from where it was originally set up and picked up a couple MPH and some RPMs. It's an 18ft aluminum v hull. I'm technically underpowered based on the hull's HP rating which is probably why I'm down to a 15 pitch prop vs your 19. I'm not sure which prop I have but it's an OMC part number bought used off EBAY. Lots of props on there if you're looking but like I said, you may be surprised at what happens if you fix your's and get the height dialed in. Then again owning extra props is fun. As somebody said, just make sure you're still picking up water for the cooling system.
All in all it's a great outboard, after 5 years I have no regrets at all. Are you still in the break in period?
check out the evinrude website.all the boat tests i looked at for your motor show approx a max speed of around the high 30,s to very low 40,s .i think the dealer is full of it about the yamaha .im no expert but id think maybe a 17p might be about right.cant believe your dealer wouldnt throw in a new prop, mine (new 60 etec) threw in the prop plus rigging for free, plus a gallon of oil.also on the day i bought it evinrude went to a 6 year warrenty which is great also.

Probably wouldn't cost much to get your current prop fixed and give it a try. As my dealer said 4500 to 5500 is the best range, sounds like you're doing good and fixing what you have may work great. Just for comparison I have a 1500lb aluminum with a 90 etec and I get 44mph with a 13 1/4 x 15 stainless at 5500 RPM.
Nice boat by the way!
just bought a ptr 18 pitch prop no change in rpm wot! id pay someone 500.00 to come down here just to prop my boat and set the jp!!!
What is it exactly that you are looking for in a prop? Top speed? Mid range cruise? Hole shot?
