prop direction?

Which direction does a prop spin in forward.. ccw or cw? I'm checking to make sure I put my lower unit on right.<br /><br />140 merc I/O

Standard rotation on an I/O and outboard is right hand or clockwise. There are counter rotating units that (obviously) counter clockwise is forward.
