This is prob a dumb ? but im gonna ask anyway. What is the difference or benifet if your motor can run clock wise or counter ? Does it do anything if you set it up one or the other way ?

Re: Prop direction ?

On twin engines the torque of the engines is offset with one standard and one counter rotating. This lets the boat set level and go straight with out the stern trying to turn. On a single engine a right hand turn prop will lift the right side of the boat. This helps keep it level if the helm is on the right. ( ok Ok starboard) 200 lb guy on starboard 100 lb wife on port. Right hand prop will level boat. (somewhat)
