Re: Prop for my boat

Is the Sea Ark a big empty hull or a full dress with floors bait tanks built ins etc.
If it has a prop run it and get us the wot rpm and gps speed.

Trying not to be a wise guy but you really haven't told i us anything about your setup. We know its a 115 Johnson from a bass boat
And we know the Sea Ark is 24 ft. Some of us probably know what A Sea Ark is, but If I told you I had a 18 ft Crestliner I don't think it would tell you much. You would probably think 1000 or 1500 lbs when it weighs 375 lbs.
Anyway I think the simplest way is to run the boat with the present prop when its done.
Get us as much info as possible from the stickys at the top of the prop forum.
IF you want a guess ahead of time at the very least we need the all up weight of the finished boat and a detailed description of the Sea Ark.Don't be afraid to be long winded as long as it is informative information.

Does it look something like this? big-easy1.jpg

Depending on the model (center console model is 200 lbs lighter), your total weight might be 2688-2888 lbs, and calls for a 17-18 pitch prop for 5000 rpm @ 37-39 mph.
