Prop from alpha 1 drive on a Mercury 175 EFI

I recently found a prop in my basement from a boat that I had with an alpha 1 drive. Would this prop fit on a Mercury 175 EFI 2 stroke (2000)?

It would physically fit but the pitch would depend on the application. A prop for say a 19 ft 3.0 would not likely work on a 175 on a 18 ft bass boat.

The alpha 1 was mounted to a 5.7 liter on a 23' sea ray and the 175 is currently on a 19' bass boat which is running a tempest plus right now.

Will the prop fit on the 175?

Yes.

Will you get better performance out of the other prop?

You will have to try it and find out. Being from a larger boat to a smaller boat it could be way off for the bass boat.

What pitch are these props? The Tempest and the prop from the Alpha 1?

Yes, it should fit, if the 175 has a 4-3/4" 15 spline gear case. Note; there are other gear cases available for the outboard.

Whether or not it's appropriate for the application was not asked.
