After several days of soaking in Kroil, pounding with a dead blow hammer and a gear puller, I cut the prop in sections to get to the splined hub and removed the *&^%$ thing with a punch and hammer. All is good except for the prop which is in a hundred pieces on the floor. The problem wasn't lack of grease or corrosion, it was the prop shaft. Looks like when they machined it they left tooling marks (cuts) on the shaft which acted like one way grips. Prop would slide on ok but not off. I think a little work with a Dremel grinder will fix it. Damnist thing I've seen in a while!
