Prop guards Y/N

It striks me that we're seeing a few more posts regarding damage to props from hitting objects in the water. Most of these appear to be in lakes and fresh waterways. I don't know a lot about this field but would it seem prudent to fit a prop guard for these waterways. Is this appropriate for 15 - 20hp motors? I would think that could save a lot of angst. Theres one guy obviously damaged his lower unit because of this!<br />What do you guys think - <br />Ross

There is a prop guard available that increases eficiency and protection. Especially good for pontoons and slower type boats. one site is<br /> www.cal-nevamarine.com Not sure which company but im getting one for my pontoon.
