What year props are interchangable for a 1958 35 bigtwin will a 1964 work engine came with no prop thanks Alex

yes a lot of the props are interchangeable from 25 to 40hp in general.

Props from 1952 25 hp to about a 1976 40 HP will work and some other horsepower motors in those years.----28 and 33 hp models included.

this prop is off a 69 elect shift but it doesn't fit the holes on my motor 1958 big twin. Are electric shift motor props different or is there something i'am missing.

if it is from a 33hp or a 40hp from 69 it should fit. i checked and they have the same prop shaft as your 58.

As stated before there is no difference between standard and electric shift props.--------You may need to file the bulging around the hole in the propshaft for it to fit.

If the prop was on 40hp electric shift gearcase it should fit on your 35hp. If the prop came off of one pre 1969 v4 small electric cases(they look almost Identical) the prop won't fit. What are the numbers on the prop in Question?

These props do have the hub pressed in. There is a slight chance it was somehow pressed in too far

That was the problem the hub was in to far a slight nudge with a hammer and the prop fits fine.Thanks for all the fine advise if the rest of my parts come today I can try starting thee motor.
