prop is it fixable

I hit a log and broke off most of one of the blades on my 25 Evenrude. question is can this be fixed or junk it? Motor is ok dident bend shaft! Went back and marked log though!!!

George ,I'm going to assume this was an aluminum prop.If so ,I wouldn't bother with attempting repair but simply buy a new or good used one.Also,it is highly likely that you have some bend in the prop shaft.I would have propshaft run out with dial indicator after removing prop.

probley cheeper in the long run to go with new.

In south-central indiana, local boat shop sends prop to not so local prop-shop for rebuilds. local boat shop said that props can ususally be rebuilt UP TO 3 times (depending on condition/damage). Have had two props attended to. Both are in super condition now. If memory serves, was about $40 to rebuild.

I have had two props fixed here in Wisconsin runs about $50 a prop, If you can find a good used one cheaper go for it if not fix this one either way I would make sure you have a spare prop for the boat.

Thanks for all the input. Checked with marina and said was not worth fixing.
