prop leaking need help

I have a 1984 o 83 35 hp Johnson its leaking from around the prop I replace the big o ring a few years back and it still leak a little, am I missing any other seals? I look on I boats parts their appears to be some more seals I think, any help I will appreciate it thanks

There is 2 seals that fit over the prop shaft. Look up your motor on shopevinrude for a parts breakdown.

Pull the prop shaft bearing carrier. 2 o-rings around the carrier, 2 seals on the prop shaft and the small seals under the heads of the 4 bolts. While you are at it, change the zinc

thanks scott where would the zinc be at? what does it look like? will I boats parts have all the seals I need? thank you

also I do have a repair manual, once I pull the carrier out do I need to go any farther or is all the seals on the carrier?

Could also be unburnt fuel/oil, are you positive it's gear oil?

yeah positive its clean gear oil.

zinc should be bolted to the bearing carrier, between the two "flange" sections. its a half-round piece
