Re: prop pitch?

Pitch is how far forward a given prop will travel, in inches, in one revolution with 0% slip. The most accurate measurement is with a very complex laser machine. It's really hard to measure props today as they are all progressive pitch.

There was someone who posted a proceedure for manually measuring on a while back. It really didn't work for me but some other folks said it did for them. But I was measuring a Turbo which has a pretty complex shape.
