Prop play

Hi Guys,
Quick question here.
1984 evenrude 70. When in or out of gear, I have 3/16 of free play where I can push the prop shaft in and out. Is this normal?

There might be a washer ( 316484 ) missing on propshaft.

I am rebuilding the bearing housing and seals, I am wondering if I can check that while apart
