Hello,

I have a prop question. Currently I have a 1989 Evinrude V-4 88 horsepower SPL model# E88MSLCER outboard. I currently ran a 12 3/4 X 21 sized prop, but I brought a 14 X 19 genuine Evinrude/Johnson prop brand new made for a 45 thru 115 V-4 outboard. Will this work allright on my boat? Will my holeshot improve and how bad will my top speed go down also will my RPM's come up? I own a 1989 Chapperral 15.5 footer XL162 ski boat that is 6 feet wide. Thanks

Holeshot wll improve, RPMs will go up. Can't answer on speed or general performance without knowing your max RPMs now. If that's a heavy boat and the 21 is lugging the motor, you may actually get more speed with the 19. But if the 21 is within recommended range, you'll pick-up around 400 RPMs and lose maybe 2 to 4mph with the 19.
