Not sure if I should post this here so feel free to move if its not in the right place. We took our 86 bayliner with force 85hp out for the first real boat trip since we bought it. We went tubing and had a blast. Only problem. When we first got there we pulled away from the docks and halfway out of the cove and stopped to rig the tube and rope and such. While I was fixing everything up we coasted close to shore and I fired it up to pull away and hit bottom with the prop. It didnt hit hard and it only hit for a second but I noticed today that the prop has a small ding on each of the 3 blades. What kind of problems can I expect from this? as long as there is no vibration or anything then it should be fine right? Should I try to bend the dings back or leave it as is? I could post pics if it would help. Thanks in advance

Re: Prop question

I would get it fixed...even a little vibration that you can't feel will tear up bearings and gears. No...don't try to bend it back unless its stainless...aluminum will break off. Any boat shop has a drop off service for props to get fixed, as the get bent every weekend by somebody. And it won't cost much. Might as well bite the bullet and buy a spare too.
