I am in need of a new prop. I looked here on iBoats and found they have a selection for my motor (1958 Rude 35 Hp) ranging from 10 - 14 pitch. What do you guys suggest? I'm not sure what is on there now, but it looks original and it's very beat up / bent up.

What boat do you have it on, Tom?

Re: Prop Question

10s are for pontoon boats. The 14 would go on a really light runabout or jonboat with no load. For your average old 14' fiberglass runabout, you'll want 11 or 12. For a lighter aluminum runabout you could run the 12 or 13. (That's for boats rated for 40Hp or so.)

JB - it's on a 1975 Husler. Kinda looks like a jonboat, but fiberglass. 14' long

Re: Prop Question

Oklahoma isn't quite as much a problem as western Kansas, but please keep in mind(to all)that every 2000ft above sea level requires approx. 1" less pitch to get the same RPM. On texoma I can spin 6000 with a 21 pitch, on the lakes in western ks, I have to drop to my 18 pitch Raker to get the same RPM. This WILL vary "slightly" with different manufacturer's props.
