Prop questions for 2015 merc 40 elhpt

I installed a new OEM prop should it have a bit of movement , I know I still have to properly attach the retaining clip to the nut , watch the video

Welcome to Iboats,

Some props may experiment that situation but will work OK, need to torque the shaft's nut to factory specs with wrench...

Ayuh,..... Have you got the right torque hub on it,..??

The prop should be tight on the shaft,.....

Thanks for the reply guys , I'm not seeing anything referencing the need fr torque wrenches when I watch a you tube on it , Am I missing something ?

It has never occurred to me to rotate an OEM propeller on its axis before being adjusted with its final assembly pieces, don't know if should have a slight side movement or not while sitting fully in ? The Owners Manual should mention at which NM torque value should the prop nut be adjusted to...
