Hi I just got my prop rehub.
The shop told me to idle around for
5 min forward and reverse . Can I do this while the boat still
sitting on the trailer at the ramp or I have ride it around on it
for 5 min .

Thanks

Never heard of that, but I'd say to drive it around in the lake to get the best torque value out of it.Muffs won't do nothing,on the trailer, not shure.

Man, I never heard of that either! HMS hubs advised me to press in a hub using soapy water as a lubricant and then let the prop sit for a day or so before using it.

I suspect that the prop shop wants you to let the rubber hub "seat" a bit before you apply full engine torque to it. I also suspect that they think that running it at low speed will work out any residual lube that they used.

On the trailer at the ramp, sure you can idle it in gear for 5 minutes if the lower unit is in the water. It should have the same effect.
