Prop repair??????

Out on the lake on the weekend and ran over submerged rock in 15ft.of water,took some nice chuncks out of my aluminum prop.How bad before it's beyond repair?p.s. got back to dock no problem like there was no damage full speed and all (like normal) was'nt till I puller her out of the water I noticed the damage.

They can fix some pretty mangled props. Send it to the shop and let them look at it. It usually takes about a week around here to get one fixed.

If its an aluminum prop, rule of thumb is about 50% of cost of new prop discounted about 20%.. :cool:

Yeah, the prop shop near me fixed one of my mangled aluminum props. It took about a week, and cost $49. Came back looking like new. The repairs are pretty strong too, I whacked the repaired prop again, and it bent one of the blades, half that was original, and half that was repaired and it didn't crack at all.
