prop repitching

i have a michigan 13 1/4 x 19 cupped ss prop(rapture)
this is not the right prop i was told that i need to go to 13 1/4 x 17 not cupped

im running 4950-5000 rpms wot.

my ? is can my current prop be repitched that far down to what i need?

Some prop shops advertise that they can repitch props that much. In reality, it is a stopgap procedure and it is going to cost at least half the price of a new prop. Right here at iboats they have some good deals. Why not buy what you need and save the old one for a spare? Lacking that, pay attention to the auctions and buy a good used one.

I have seen shops that say they can reprop aluminum props that much, but I highly doubt that a Stainless Steel prop can be repitched two inches....
