Hello all, just got into fishing and want to purchase my first boat. I was looking for a cheap jon or bass boat and came across this: http://orlando.craigslist.org/boa/1708940743.html

He said he would take $600 for everything. I called a couple local places to find a replacement prop and they all said it's very hard to find one for one of those gamefisher motors. I am new to all of this, so I have a couple questions.

First of all, are props "universal" in a way? Could I find something of comparable size and put on there just to get the boat moving? For example, I found this cheap propeller. Does anyone know if I could put this on the gamefisher?

Also, does this boat seem like a decent deal?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks

Re: Prop replacement question, please help!

While the game fisher may be ok without a model number we don't even know who made it. more later.
I would hold out for a boat with a more mainline brand; Evinrude/Johnson,Mercury etc.
Main problem with the game fisher is it likely has a dwindling parts source and some can br pricey. E/J for instance has routine parts available back to the 1950s from dozens of sources nationwide.
