Prop selection help

I'm looking for some advice in choosing a prop for my boat. It's a 13' inflatable soft bottom with a 25hp Merc. Mostly river travel, top speed not my number 1 concern. Max 2 guys and light gear. I'll use the current one as a spare. TIA Cheers, Dave

Does the motor have a prop installed ? if so, what's the diam and pitch ? A light 13 footer along light load well propped will fly direct to Mars.. Inflatables are not listed on the Merc Prop Selector, so useless..

Ha! Didn't mean to start a fight. Numbers are pretty corroded and hard to read. I'll get a better light and take a close up pic. It's a '97 2 stroke short leg. Cheers, Dave

Great advice, tach in the works. Also need to rebuild the carb and check some other things. Too cold now for water trials!

Way to go, you'll love to run a combo well propped with a tach....

Does you boat counts with a center console and plan installing a tach on the front pannel hooking a tach on the controller ? Or it's a tiller motor with a controller ?

Better check with Merc which tach models are available for that 5 pin controller as the motor already counts with.
