I just converted my Volvo Penta 5.0 set up from a SX to DP and need assistance in understanding how to select the right props. I am at 5,280 ft, stern drive is at a 1.78 to 1 ratio, engine 5.0 GXi. Is there a matrix or guideline that tells me where to start; i.e., F5, F2, F9 etc? Are there aluminum as well as stainless available? If so, pros and cons of each?
