Prop shaft seal replacement 1999 S250

I am in the process of replacing the prop seals. From what I have read the best way is to remove the bearing carrier. From looking at the manual I need to remove the bolts to the lower casings and then the two bolts for the carrier. Install the puller and it should come out? correct? Any thing else I should look for or do before removing it?

as long as the unit is not a left hand unit thats about it, record the seal depth before removing them as some manuals dont indicate the installed depth.

One will be left handed rotation. I'll check the manual but any advise would be appreciated.

left hand rotation will require some special tooling, no way around it, and it takes me about 4 hours,barring salt corrosion, to change the prop shaft seals on a one piece propshaft left hand case.
2 piece propshaft left hand case add 1 hour.
