Re: prop shaft seal

You have to undo the carrier nut (24) there is a tool for this (you might need heat and penetrating oil), or if it is too stuck you can drill holes in it and break out the pieces then you have to pull the bearing carrier out of the housing. If this has never been done since new you should turn the housing prop shaft facing up and soak the bearing carrier with penetrating oil.
When you get the bearing carrier out the seals will pry out - make sure you note the way they were installed. When you install the new ones put some Loctite on the metal frames before you press them in and grease the lips before putting on propshaft.
