How can you tell what the size and the pitch of your prop is? Is there a way?

Re: Prop Size And Pitch Question

There should be a size stamped somewhere on the hub. Something like "13x17".

If there are no numbers stamped in it take it to a prop shop. They can tell you what it is.

t;if you have the prop still on you drive you may have to take the drive nut and washer or bushing off. some are cast on the back of the hub and are hard or imposiable while the attaching hardware is in place

Re: Prop Size And Pitch Question

The best tool to indicate what the diameter of a prop is would be a ruler!
Measure the diameter. On a three blade prop measure from one blade tip to the exact center of the prop shaft and then mulitply by 2. On a four blade prop measure blade tip to opposite blade tip. You cannot measure pitch but a prop shop can check it with a pitch block.
