For my 1989 Force 125hp what size of prop(pitch, diameter, ect...) what would you guys recommend for fastest top end speed? I do plan on pulling a tube and skiing every once in a while but mainly top end speed is what I am after! Any ideas?

What size boat? What does boat weigh? What amount of weight do you intend to carry?

Oh yeah, that stuff might be handy to tell about!!!! I plan on carrying around 500 pounds and the boat itself weighs around 1500 or so and it is a 16'.

I wont be much help with your exact pitch but:
Keep in mind a prop that gives max. top speed
will not be very effective pulling skiers.
Kind of like asking the average car to pull a steep hill in overdrive. A comprimise pitch
will do a pretty good job of both but not the best at either one.

Re: prop size?

Is there a prop on it now? If yes, what are your max rpms?
Without a test base to work from, we can only guess. Should be somewhere around 19" pitch. Maybe you can get a loaner prop to test it with.
Play with T&T and X factor with what you get than go from there.
Prop for top end and hole shot are not the same but you should be able to come up with a compromise.

On a 16 foot boat you can get away with a 19" prop. Using a 17" you would easily max out your rpm. A 21" prop would put you in wot range but I do not suggest skiing with it. Have one for sale if you want.
