prop size

i have a 1988 bayliner capri.it has 5.0 with omc cobra out drive. i am trying to find out what would be the best all around prop size i need.

Please read the "read this first" at the top of the page,get us as much info as possible.
Prop size should be near the base of the blades or under the prop nut.

its 19 foot long.this is my first boat and i havent had it out on the water yet.it has a 15x17 on it now .i need to replace but before i do i want to make sure thats the right size.

Ayuh,... Until you run it to determine a baseline, 'n answer the questions in the Read This First,....

I'd suggest replacin' with an exact copy of what's already on it...

Right size is determined by the performance numbers,...
The Right size, isn't written in any book...

If the present prop is damaged you may be able to have it repaired at a prop shop.
Then get some good performsance numbers.A working tach is necessary and a gps for speed would be best.

a piece on the corner was bent tryed to bend it back it broke of its a piece about 1/2 inch
