Hulls: Dell Quay 13' Dorys

Use: Safety/Rescue, normally two up but are sometimes used to carry up to 7/8

Motor 1: 1985 'Rude 30hp

Motor 2: 1978 Johnson 25hp

I've seen recommendations for a 10x13 on the 30 and a 9x10 on the 25. Are these right for our application? Thanks in advance.

Re: Prop Sizes

G Dane is probably right.Of course only an indicatiin of the engines WOT rpm capability as propped will tell you for sure.

Re: Prop Sizes

Thanks once again fellas, can now go ahead and check we're propped right. Is it worth primarily funds but also effort in installing a tach, remembering we have two craft and not much money!

Re: Prop Sizes

You can get a Tinytach ( just search for the name ) its a small cheap ( 20 $ ? ) acurate moveable tach, built in battery, no wiring, just one wrapped around a spark plug cord. Installs in 5 mins, moves to another motor in 5 mins. Just chose the right one from their webside. Will give you all the info. Both of your motors should top out around 5500 RPM.
