What is the normal amount of prop slippage? I talked to a friend and he said anything over 20% was excessive. Also, if you are over the norm what do you do? Do you change from a 3 blade to a 4?
Thanks for your answers.

Re: Prop Slippage Question

Slip can be caused by a number of things haevy boats have more slip.
Pontoons and house boats generate an amazing amount of slip.
Some aluminum boats have higher slip numbers.Usually 15% is considered excessive on your typical planing hull.Slip calculation figures can be greatly affected by the input. and many times is.If you tell us about your problem and details of the boat and setup I'm sure someone can help.
